Had I known I would have needed it to understand Lost, I wouldn't have foregone physics in high school. Now I'm just dragging blearily through Wikipedia pages on wormholes, the Casimir Effect, exotic matter, and the twin paradox like a total arsehole.

i know. Luckily my mom is a physics teacher and my brother is about to start his masters in it. I needed to ask them to teach me about Faraday last week.

See, my dad was an engineer and sci-fi nerd and before I became a slacker, I was an engineer, too (shh, it'll ruin my reputation). Also, I'm a sci-fi nerd (blame dad). So this is all really old school to me. I mean, I remember my dad trying to explain black holes and wormholes to me when I was a little kid (he'd read me sci-fi books for bedtime stories when I wasn't too busy asking him to tell me about Strawberry Shortcake or Jabba the Hutt).
