Our regular weekly snowstorm is in full swing (really, nature, enough), so the weekend looks more or less ruined already. I'm so tired of this nonsense.

At least we got the omfg/armageddon! shopping done. We're set. You're all welcome to strap on the snowshoes and join us for veggie chili or broccoli calzones.
Today I had a sudden longing for an old favorite NYC bodega snack, plantain chips and spicy bean dip, and I just polished off half a bag before writing this.

Yeah, I pretty much have nothing else going on but food and snow.

Edit: I'm making a banana cream pie.

If the weather isn't too atrocious tomorrow (or even Sunday), do you have any interest in catching a late matinee of 'La Vie en Rose'?

I pretty much have no plans to leave the house tomorrow, but if Sunday isn't a colossal crapfest, I'd like to...I'll let you know as it gets closer!

We're supposed to get a warm up (it never got above 5F today) this weekend. I hope so!! David and I are going to see "The Kite Runner" tomorrow. Yeah! I hear it's a good movie.

Hope your snow and bad weather misses you!

Susan

Oh, we're totally soaking in it already! I sincerely hope you get your warmup; 5 degrees is simply obscene.

Enjoy the movie! :)

I'm getting it too. Apparently it won't stop until tomorrow night and we're getting between 30 to 50 cm. This has been a crazy snowy winter.

I am supposed to go out and babysit for my friend tonight who has a rather complicated baby and two older children; I think she's so desperate to get out that she'll rent a dogsled to fetch me and then take her to Red Lobster. If they stop by the grocery store so I can run in for some Ben and Jerry's, I'm good with that though.

It was fine, just slow going-today has thus been much worse. I still walked to the farmer's market and butcher today though and bought stuff to make a hibernation dinner :) I also stopped and bought ice cream on my way; the guy at the counter raised an eyebrow at me, bundled up like Nanook of the North, and said "I'm not sure I can authorize this purchase."

"It's a medical necessity, honeybunch, haven't you ever heard of PMS?" I cracked. He laughed.
