Top chef has already been sold to CMT - they call it the Great BBQ Challenge. And yes, they are chefs.

Well... lifetime SUCKS... but I do actually GET that channel and I DON'T get Bravo right now, so this news makes me very excited. :D Stupid Comcast. :P
