Hi, internet. I've needed a little break from your soul-sucking power.
I couldn't stay away forever, of course, so what's new?
I'm tired and my eyes are twitching, so tonight you get bullet points:

* My in-laws came up for the weekend; we celebrated M's birthday early
* I worked a bit for our preschool fundraiser and won a fancy high chair that I really wanted (and needed!), as well as symphony tickets and a gift certificate at a local yarn shop!
* We cleaned the garage, moved the dining room into half the living room in preparation for the upcoming nursery moving the office to the former dining room. Get that? It's like musical rooms.
* We did a bunch of garden stuff but have a lot more to do before things look appropriate
* I plopped flowers into the windowboxes and entryway planters, hooray, and on time!
* Zoo field trip today, followed by the park
* I am tired. I forget if there was anything else. Maybe tomorrow.

It was pretty fun, even though the dozen wild 4-year-olds could have had their own exhibit...:)

Eep... the elephant isn't chained, is it?

She was only chained while they came in to scrub/examine her...as soon as they were done, she lifted each leg and they undid them, and she was free to wander into the outside area (which is a really large, open-air area without bars or high fences. It's not as bad as it looks! :)

Cool! My aunt has that same highchair.

I had to fuss with it a little to get it adjusted for her son (He has Down Syndrome so his legs are shorter than normal and some other things affected how he was able to sit in it) - anyhoo - even with all the 'special' needs he had, the chair works great! So adjustable. And you can use it forever! :)

I'm glad to hear it works well! It certainly is cuter than some of the puffy plastic monstrosities out there, too.

I am not on the ball apparently.

Wow. I am really impressed with these photos, especially the meerkat. I am going to be working at an animal shelter as a web photographer (volunteering on weekends), so I've been a little obsessed with animal photos lately.

The high chair is cute!

Owen is getting so big - i remember first seeing pictures of him as a little babe - and now he's such a little man!
